The drill press may be the most under-rated machine in the woodshop. The fact is most drill presses are designed for metal working which is clearly evident by the clunky metal table that you get from the manufacturer. Woodworking requires repeatable set-ups and ample support for large panels. Youll find a huge improvement in these tasks with the Pinnacle drill press table. It features: Generous 16" x 23" surface is a hefty 1" thick and consists of a MDF core. Surface is covered with a new Formica Micro-Dot laminate - a unique texture which is a grid of small dimples that collect saw dust, allowing the surface to better grip the work piece under pressure. Removable insert minimizes tear-out when drilling through material without the need of a backer board and the insert can easily be replaced with any 1/2" thick material. Two double-wide T-tracks are embedded and bolted in place from underneath to virtually eliminate the possibility of pulling the track out when using optional deluxe hold down clamps (not included). Each T-track is permanently laser engraved with an easy to read, high contrast scale clearly indicating fence position. Once calibrated to your drill press, no further adjustment is needed. The 36" fence uses the same double-wide track as the table to give you more stop and accessory mounting options. The fence comes with a simple L stop, and optional flip stops can be added for increased versatility. The laser engraved fence face, with a center scale (zero in the center) makes it very easy to use. The fence is firmly locked in place front to back and left to right with knurled hand nuts for easy, no-tools-required adjustments. The Pinnacle drill press table is designed to fasten to slotted steel tables with coarse thread screws and to T-slotted tables with large oval nuts.
